You can pretty much justify anything if it’s done in the name of self-care. Self-care is SO important, especially since we live in dark and oppressive times and you need to look after your soul. So my housemates might complain about my massive store of okra and kombucha tea, but to them I say…your negative vibes will not bring me down. I’m a beautiful person, I’m in love with myself and if it’s good for me, then that’s that.
Oh wow…should I use all my savings to cover the roof in solar panels? I’m just thinking, nothing would really bring me greater joy than knowing that I’m giving back to the environment, and my research on industrial solar systems has led me to believe that it’s the best thing for the harmonic vibrations of the planet. Plus I just went to an outdoor conference where they said that sometimes, self-care is about caring for the planet. The care for the planet will then bring dividends to you, the carer, forming an eternal feedback loop of caring energy and goodness that will encircle the Earth and unite the nations. I mean, like, that’s what the Guru said. I’m all for passion, but I’m not TOTALLY sold on all that stuff. Self-care is about not letting yourself get drawn into things that might hurt you in the long run, so you gotta have a bit of scepticism.
So yeah…solar power. I will say I’m totally sold on THAT concept. I know the housemates won’t really like how I’m changing up the place, but I can explain how the Earth is being made healthier by our quality commercial solar energy. Melbourne sure does get cold during the year, we might need to have a cold shower or two in the winter time. Maybe we’ll have to peddle on an exercise bike to make the TV turn on. But all that self care will seep in eventually. They’ll see. The whole world will see!
