Okay, I have a question. Like…I don’t own a home right now or anything, but someday I hope to and there are going to be some BIG changes that’ll need to happen before it looks exactly like the home of my dreams. Unless I build but that’s even more expensive and I just can’t stand the thought of building in a place and then having everyone building around me, and then terrible neighbours move in…ugh, no thanks.
No but really, I’ve had this place in my mind forever, right down to the types of windows. They’ll be timber windows, Melbourne’s finest. I have the firms, the numbers, everything all prepared for my home customisation, because that’s the Australian dream. Buy a home, have a family, customise your home right down to the material used in the windows. Everyone knows that.
Thing is, there are SO many things I want to do to the place and I know it’ll take years and years because this stuff doesn’t come cheap, but…what’s it all for? How many years will I have to enjoy my place before they carry me out in a box…and what happens then? I just have to know the future!
The future is clouded, possibly by your intense emotions, and also the fact that it’s a cloudy night and I can’t see the stars. Until there’s a wind or something, I can tell you this: timber windows are lovely. I know that’s not looking into the future…but it sort of is, because I can sense that things like timber and sash windows in Melbourne are going to be popular forever, so they’re a safe bet if you want something with long-lasting charm. But don’t get aluminium, because they’re harder to maintain over a length of time. My sister had some, really nice but a bit of a pain. So yeah, do that. I’m just gonna wait for these clouds to go away…
