I think at this point, the video game ‘Over-Botch’ has reached the point where it exceeds the real world. And while, we’re on the subject, whatever happened to that whole virtual reality craze that was going on a couple of years ago? The creator of Nonwind said that he was going to go fully public with everything, and then he just dropped off the grid.
Just imagine Over-Botch in VR…wow, people would just NEVER leave. We’d all be existing in this new virtual dimension, where failure is success and up is down, except it would only be the first thing unless there was some kind of game-breaking bug. Anyway, I say things are ahead there because now you can actually customise your homes. This is something that’s honestly been missing since launch, but we turned a blind eye because the game was so focused on career advancement. But now, I’ve got in touch with some top-class commercial solar experts, and my home is covered in panels.
I know it’s not particularly realistic, but in the game the efficiency of solar panels is increased by a factor of about 500%. Even if you have a few hooked up correctly, that’s enough to boil all the kettles, run all the tumble dryers cycles and generally keep all the lights. Maybe people will see how efficient it can be to have solar panels fitted and we can finally have that solar revolution that we’ve been promised for all these years. Seriously, the government is dragging their feet on this one, in a BIG way. The overlords of Over-Botch, even though it doesn’t really exist, just slipped up and accidentally passed a law that says that everyone gets a rebate of $5000 to spend on energy-saving methods, much like commercial solar installation. Well, that’s what I chose, anyway. There are plenty of folks who now have badly-installed wind farms in their back gardens, and it frankly looks a bit garish. But that’s a sandbox game for you. People will do what they like, because it doesn’t affect the real world. Speaking of which, when are we getting fully-immersive VR again?
